Karna Purana is the Ayurvedic practice of placing warm oil into the ear canal. This practice supports overall ear health by offering moisture, warmth & nourishment to the ears. Practice Karna Purana daily, especially during the colder months of vata season &/or when traveling. 

Ayurveda strongly believes in applying oil to all parts of our body to maintain proper function. Therefore, it only makes sense that Ayurveda would recommend the application of oil in the ears to support long-term auditory health. This practice is especially pacifying to vata, making it helpful during travel or whenever you need some extra grounded energy.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Sesame Oil

Sesame oil has been used for over 3,500 years in the Mediterranian & India for its powerful healing effects. The sacred text of Ayurveda, Caraka Samhita, calls sesame oil the best of all oils. Ayurveda most certainly has a love affair with this oil & after using it, it is easy to see why! Sesame oil is warming & grounding to the nervous system; thus, it is a fabulous oil to ease excess vata dosha in the body. It is highly nourishing & moisturizing, bringing deep relief to dry or itchy ears. Sesame oil also has strong anti-microbial properties which help keep any funk out of the body & your ojas, or immune system, strong. We highly recommend using this oil daily & especially before or on the plane & on road trips to ensure your ears are protected & healthy.

Lavender  

Our steam distilled lavender is wild-crafted in the higher altitudes of France where the finest lavender flowers are naturally grown. Lavender is one of those multi-purpose herbs that can be used for almost anything, including the ears. It contains antibacterial properties which keep the ears healthy & in optimal condition. Lavender is an analgesic, meaning it is a pain reliever, as well as an anti-inflammatory; therefore, it is a perfect go-to for easing an earache. Lastly, lavender has a calming action on the nervous system, helping our bodies to ground before or after a stressful day. 

Directions: DAILY USE: Massage 1-2 drops of warm Karna Purana Oil into each ear canal. WEEKLY USE: Lie down & rest on your side. Place 5-8 drops of warm oil in exposed ear. Let oil absorb for 5 minutes. Release excess oil from the ear with cotton ball. Repeat on opposite side. Caring for your products: Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Avoid contamination by keeping moisture out of the bottle. Close lid tightly after each use. Life of your products: Since there are no preservatives, please use within 6-8 months.
